Derek Jason, a firefighter on MCAS Cherry Point, holds his certificate in
front of the Fire and Emergency Services building following his pinning
ceremony, MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina, Aug. 18, 2022. To become
certified firefighters, trainees were put through two sections of rigorous
training that ensures only the most qualified personnel are protecting the
