2nd Lt. Jordan Salzman of Loves Park, Illinois, receives his Officer Candidate School graduation certificate. Twenty-two Illinois Army National Guard Soldiers and one U.S. Army Reserve Soldier graduated from the 129th Regiment (Regional Training Institute) Officer Candidate School on Aug. 21, fulfilling the leadership and military education requirements to be commissioned as U.S. Army officers. The ceremony was held at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Springfield, Illinois. Salzman, who commissioned as an armor officer, will be assigned to Company A, 2nd Battalion, 106th Cavalry Regiment, based in Pontiac, Illinois.
