81mm mortar rounds impact targets during exercise Bougainville I at Schofield Barracks Hawaii, Aug. 23, 2022. Forward observers located at an observer position down range communicated with the fire direction center to ensure high-explosive rounds fired from an M252 81mm mortar system lands on their intended targets.
