All the locals, like this bull caribou, stopped by to investigate the Army helicopters parked at the Deadhorse, Alaska, airport Aug. 17-26. The “Flying Dragons” of the 1-52nd General Support Aviation Battalion deployed two UH-60 Black Hawk and two CH-47 Chinook helicopters with about 25 support personnel to the North Slope where they practiced sling-load and long-range flight operations around Prudhoe Bay during a week-long training session in Alaska’s Arctic.
