Grace Caroline Sims, daughter of Lt. Hayley Sims and Lt. Brandon Sims, is baptized aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) on the Navy's 237th birthday. Lt. John E. Kelly, Staff Chaplain at Naval Air Station Oceana Dam Neck Annex Chapel, performed the baptism, which was his first aboard Ashland as well as on the Navy's birthday. The U.S. Navy has a 237-year heritage of defending freedom and projecting and protecting U.S. interests around the globe.
