Humanitarian and Disaster Relief Training with U.S., Australian, and Solomon Islands participants

HONIARA, Solomon Islands (Sept. 5, 2022) – Royal Australian Navy LEUT Belinda Wozniak, a Gender, Peace and Security (GPS) advisor, discusses the importance of GPS during the humanitarian assistance and disaster (HA/DR) relief training during Pacific Partnership 2022. HA/DR training allows partnering nations to strengthen capabilities and interoperability with one another in order to respond in times of need. Now in its 17th year, Pacific Partnership is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific. Pacific Partnership is a unifying mission that fosters enduring friendships and cooperation among many nations. The year’s mission in Solomon Islands will include participants from the United States, Japan and Australia. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Brandie Nuzzi)
