PACIFIC OCEAN (Sept. 2, 2022) - U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Landon Nagao, a UH-1Y pilot assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 362 (reinforced), 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, conducts start-up procedures on a UH-1Y helicopter aboard amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage (LPD 23) prior to a surface escort, Sept. 2. A force in readiness, the 13th MEU trains to rapidly respond to crises in all domain environments through naval power projection. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, comprised of amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) and amphibious transport docks USS Anchorage (LPD 23) and USS John P.
