Kenneth Whitesell, Commander, Naval Air Forces (CNAF), holds an all hands call with the “Sun Kings” of Airborne Command and Control Squadron (VAW) 116 during his trip to Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC), Point Mugu, Aug. 31. CNAF mans, trains, and equips deployable, combat-ready Naval Aviation forces for superior combat readiness. NBVC is a strategically located Naval installation composed of three operating facilities: Point Mugu, Port Hueneme and San Nicolas Island.
