Lt. Gen. Stephen N. Whiting, Space Operations Command Commander, Brig. Gen. Samuel C. Keener, Deputy Director Space Operations, National Guard Bureau, and Chief Master Sgt. Jacob C. Simmons, Space Operations Command Senior Enlisted Leader, visited Clear Space Force Station to hear from the Clear Team members on their operations and wellbeing. Whiting had a Space Command Chaplain Team and Space Command Guardians visiting along with him for them to have a chance to see the mission and hear from counterparts. The Clear Space Force members provide strategic missile warning, missile defense, and Upgraded Early Warning Radar as an integral part of deterrence in support of Homeland Defense. Clear SFS is home to Arctic Airmen and Guardians assigned to the 13th and 213th Space Warning Squadrons, providing 24/7 missile warning, missile defense, and space domain awareness.
