Coast Guard Cutter Marcus Hanna crewmember, Seaman Shahdan Patricio, prepares for the "heat and beat" by heating up the pin that connects the shackle to the new buoy chain July 28, 2022. The aids to navigation team's mission is to service, inspect, and replace navigational aids in the Northeast that may be due for maintenance, have been displaced, damaged, or are at the end of its hull life.
