U.S. Army Sgt. Kyle Eddy, a native of Pittstown, NY, and a crew chief for Alpha Company, 3-142nd Assault Helicopter Battalion (AHB), based out of Ronkonkoma, NY, tightens a nut on the pitch control rod of a UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter as part of daily maintenance at Camp Buehring, Kuwait, Sept. 6, 2022. Eddy and other 3-142nd AHB crew chiefs adjusted pitch control rods to improve the track and balance of the main rotor system, 3-142nd AHB, attached to 36th Combat Aviation Brigade, currently supports the Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve mission to advise, assist, and enable partnered forces in the enduring defeat of Da'esh, the common Arabic term for IS or ISIS, within designated areas of Iraq and Syria.
