Joseph Lee, battalion S6 for Task Force Rough Rider of the 3-142nd Assault Helicopter Battalion (3-142nd AHB), receives a U.S. Army promotion from 1st Lieutenant to the rank of Captain, at a promotion ceremony held at Camp Buehring, Kuwait, on Sept. 21, 2022. Capt. Lee serves in a vital role to provide 3-142nd AHB the communications necessary to be successful. 3-142nd AHB, attached to 36th Combat Aviation Brigade, currently supports the Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve mission to advise, assist, and enable partnered forces in the enduring defeat of Da'esh, the common Arabic term for IS or ISIS, within designated areas of Iraq and Syria.
