Maxwel C. Martinez, aviation operations specialist assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC), 3-142nd Attack Helicopter Battalion (3-142nd AHB), receives a U.S. Army promotion from the rank of Private First Class to the rank of Specialist, at a promotion ceremony held at Camp Buehring, Kuwait, on Sept. 21, 2022. Spc. Martinez serves in a vital role supporting Army aviation flights for the HHC. 3-142nd AHB, attached to 36th Combat Aviation Brigade, currently supports the Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve mission to advise, assist, and enable partnered forces in the enduring defeat of Da'esh, the common Arabic term for IS or ISIS, within designated areas of Iraq and Syria.
