U.S. Army Lt. John S. Kolasheski, commanding general of V Corps, delivers remarks officially welcoming his newest deputy commanding general for maneuver, U.S. Army Maj. Gen. David B. Womack, at the Victory Honors Ceremony at Camp Kosciuszko, Poznan, Poland, Sept. 30, 2022. Womack becomes the first deputy commanding general to join V Corps—the American command and control army element in the European Theater—in Poland since the base renaming to Camp Kosciuszko. V Corps works alongside NATO allies and regional security partners to provide combat-ready forces, executes joint and multinational training exercises, while building local community relationships.
