Container ships call on the North Charleston Terminal in North Charleston, S.C. The terminal is part of the Port of Charleston, which will shortly be able to accommodate larger deeper drafting vessels due to the Charleston Harbor Post 45 Deepening Project. The project will make the Charleston Harbor deeper and wider to accommodate larger ships to call on the Port of Charleston. As a result of the project the navigation channel will be the deepest on the East Coast of the United States at 52 feet. (U.S. Army photo by Patrick Bloodgood)
