Capt. Omar Cotto, Battery Cmdr. 1-265th Air Defense Artillery (ADA), is coordinating with the Charlotte Sheriff's Department to identify the needs of communities decimated by Hurricane Ian, Oct. 3, 2022. “We’re covering the gap between the Federal Emergency Management Agency and our resources so they can get supplies right now,” said Cotto. Over 6,000 service members were activated in response to the natural disaster along with both military and civilian support from out-of-state locations.
