U.S. Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit monitor a beachhead with optics and radar equipment during KAMANDAG 6 at Claveria, Philippines, Oct. 3, 2022. Marines established a sensor expeditionary advance base to share critical information about naval vessels with U.S. and partner forces operating in the area. KAMANDAG is an annual, bilateral exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and U.S. military designed to strengthen interoperability, capabilities, trust and cooperation built over decades of shared experiences.
