The Coast Guard Cutter Winslow Griesser cutter boat near Desecheo Island, Puerto Rico Oct. 1, 2022, alongside a makeshift boat interdicted earlier with Forty-nine Dominicans who were taking part in an illegal voyage. The cutter repatriated 47 persons from this group to a Dominican Republic Navy vessel Oct. 2, 2022, while the remaining two are facing federal prosecution in Puerto Rico on charges of attempting to bring undocumented aliens into the United States.
