Philippine reconnaissance Marines and U.S. Marines with the Maritime Raid Force, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit prepare a meal foraged during persistence and reconnaissance training as part of KAMANDAG 6 at Dadao, Calayan Island, Philippines Oct. 5, 2022. The combined training gave U.S. and Philippine reconnaissance Marines an opportunity to share tactics with one another and increase survivability in jungle environments. KAMANDAG is an annual bilateral exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the U.S. military designed to strengthen interoperability, capabilities, trust, and cooperation built over decades of shared experiences.
