U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Gage Scafe from Hudson, Ohio, a low altitude air defense gunner assigned to 2nd Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion, Marine Air Control Group 28, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, operates a FIM-92 Stinger and scouts for notional adversary aircraft in support of a low altitude air defense exercise in support of Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) course 1-23 at Tacts Airfield, near Wellton, Arizona, Oct. 13, 2022. WTI is a seven-week training event hosted by Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One, providing standardized advanced tactical training and certification of unit instructor qualifications to support Marine aviation training and readiness, and assists in developing and employing aviation weapons and tactics.
