(October 21, 2022) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate Alquin Parker, assigned to the wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD-5), speaks during the ship’s chief pinning ceremony at the Nauticus museum, Oct. 21, 2022. During the ceremony, 15 Sailors were promoted to the rank of chief petty officer. The Chief Petty Officer pinning ceremony is considered one of the most significant milestones of an enlisted Sailor’s career.
