U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. John Weller, radio operator, with the 3d Marine Littoral Regiment, 3d Marine Division sets up a MRC-148 antenna at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, Oct. 25, 2022. 3d Marine Littoral Regiment established the Alpha command node which provides the commander the ability to direct, plan, and coordinate within the assigned Zone of Action. Bougainville II is a field exercise that allows the MLR and its subordinate units to conduct expeditionary advanced base operations across the island of Oahu.
