221103-N-LI114-1112 PHILIPPINE SEA (Nov. 3, 2022) Members of the band “Vertical Horizon,” and Sailors aboard the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), watch as an F/A-18E Super Hornet, attached to the Royal Maces of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 27, takes off from the flight deck, in the Philippine Sea, Nov. 3. “Vertical Horizon” performed for the crew as part of a tour organized by Navy Entertainment, which provides Sailors with quality entertainment while overseas and on deployed ships at sea. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the United States, and supports alliances, partnerships and collective maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
