Exercise Tartan Eagle Phase II - Fireteam Assault

U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Iyan Barquero, a rifleman and close-quarters battle instructor with Training Company, Marine Corps Security Force Regiment, observes a live-fire training exercise during Tartan Eagle phase II, Otterburn Training Camp, Europe, Oct. 27, 2022. The simulated fireteam assault gave Marines the opportunity to test communication and cohesion within their platoon in a countryside environment. Exercise Tartan Eagle is an annual bilateral training exercise for the U.S. Marines and British Royal Marines with 43 Commando Fleet Protection Group Royal Marines to travel to each other's training facilities to exchange tactics, techniques and procedures in fixed site security.
