221021-N-VW723-1090 NORTH ISLAND (November 02, 2022) Chief Yeoman Denisse Gallardo, assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron Four (HSC 4), "the Black Knights", participates in Naval Exchange Command (NEXCOM) fit test aboard Naval Air Station North Island, Nov. 02. The Navy Exchange Service Command’s Navy Clothing & Textile Research Facility (NCTRF) held a Female Size Standardization fit evaluation at Naval Air Station North Island, California, Oct. 31 – Nov. 4. During the event, 100 women Sailors volunteered to have their measurements taken and try on several prototype uniforms to collect data with the ultimate objective of establishing a consistent fit for uniforms in the future. NEXCOM is comprised of 13,000 personnel worldwide facilitating seven business lines: NEX retail stores, Navy Lodge Program, Navy Gateway Inns & Suites, Ships Store Program, Navy Clothing and Textile Research Facility, Uniform Program Management Office and Telecommunications Program Office.
