221021-N-VW723-1012 NORTH ISLAND (November 02, 2022) Retail services specialist 1st class Jasmine Allen, assigned to Arleigh Burke-class destroyer, USS Halsey (DDG 97), participates in Naval Exchange Command (NEXCOM) fit test aboard Naval Air Station North Island, Nov. 02. The Navy Exchange Service Command’s Navy Clothing & Textile Research Facility (NCTRF) held a Female Size Standardization fit evaluation at Naval Air Station North Island, California, Oct. 31 – Nov. 4. During the event, 100 women Sailors volunteered to have their measurements taken and try on several prototype uniforms to collect data with the ultimate objective of establishing a consistent fit for uniforms in the future. NEXCOM is comprised of 13,000 personnel worldwide facilitating seven business lines: NEX retail stores, Navy Lodge Program, Navy Gateway Inns & Suites, Ships Store Program, Navy Clothing and Textile Research Facility, Uniform Program Management Office and Telecommunications Program Office.
