While America celebrates Veterans Day on November 11th to honor those that fought in America’s wars, those in the United Kingdom celebrate November 11th as Remembrance Day to honor those that died in wars around the world. Remembrance Day marks the actual day World War One ended, at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, in 1918. Remembrance Day was hosted in Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center (BDSC) by Flt. Lt. In attendance for the ceremony were State Department personnel, Soldiers from the United Kingdom, Canada, Montenegro, Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and Soldiers from Joint Task Force Medical 374.
