At COP27, USAID and its partners, including members of the U.S. Congress, Minister of International Cooperation Rania Al Mashat, USAID Acting Assistant Administrator Andrew Plitt, U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Ambassador Daniel Rubinstein, American University in Cairo President Ahmed Dallal, and AMIDEAST Egypt Country Director Shahinaz Ahmed, visited the Green Zone, where they met with several brilliant Egyptian students working on climate solutions. USAID is committed to supporting Egypt’s universities to drive innovation, including finding immediate and practical solutions to address the climate crisis.
