Our climate future is female! On Gender Day in the U.S. Center at COP27, the U.S. Government, through USAID, announced the Egyptian Pioneers program. The program aims to build a more inclusive and capable Egyptian workforce, while contributing to climate goals such as environment and energy in Egypt.
USAID is partnering with Egypt’s Ministry of Higher Education, the Ministry of International Cooperation, and the American University in Cairo to implement the Pioneers program that will provide scholarships and training to Egyptian students, with an emphasis on sectors that can advance Egypt’s climate goals.
