David Gonzalez, a cook attached to 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, prepares a salad aboard amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8), Nov. 25, 2022. The galley provides health-conscious, high-quality food choices to Sailors and Marines. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, comprised of amphibious assault ship Makin Island and amphibious transport docks USS Anchorage (LPD 23) and USS John P.
