CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. (Nov. 15, 2022) – An ambulance transports simulated patients across rough terrain to mimic actual in-field treatment conditions during a simulated combat casualty scenario by 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines and Sailors assigned to the Naval Expeditionary Medical Training Institute (NEMTI), during Operation Firebreak, November 15, 2022. Operation Firebreak is an exercise designed to evaluate operational readiness this iteration specifically focused on the Role 2 providers and the in-field surgical readiness of ERSS team 29 and Fleet Surgical Team 5.
