CARIBBEAN SEA - (Dec. 10, 2022) – The forecastle detail onboard the Freedom-variant littoral combat ship USS Milwaukee (LCS 5) catches a view of the USNS Comfort (T-AH 20) after leaving Naval Station Guantanamo Bay Dec. 10, 2022. Milwaukee is deployed to the U.S. 4th Fleet area of operations under Destroyer Squadron 40 and Commander, Task Force 45 with a mission set of performing combined naval operations, exercises, and partnership building, and acts as a service provider to Joint Interagency Task Force - South in support of counter-illicit drug trafficking missions in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific.
