CARIBBEAN SEA - (Dec. 10, 2022) – Gunner’s Mate 2nd Class Zachary Lockman from Lakeland, Fla., makes the M240 machine gun ready during a sea and anchor evolution on the Freedom-variant littoral combat ship USS Milwaukee (LCS 5) after a port visit at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay Dec. 10, 2022. Milwaukee is deployed to the U.S. 4th Fleet area of operations under Destroyer Squadron 40 and Commander, Task Force 45 with a mission set of performing combined naval operations, exercises, and partnership building, and acts as a service provider to Joint Interagency Task Force - South in support of counter-illicit drug trafficking missions in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific.
