U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Ronald Garcia, a satellite transmission system operator with the Command Element, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, enables communication services through a Tampa Microwave Satellite Terminal during a forward command operation center exercise at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Dec. 13, 2022. The FCOC provides command and control to monitor, track and direct friendly forces in an operational environment. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
