U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Derrick V. Lewis II, the executive officer of Recruiting Station Sacramento, presents Andrew Buu the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) scholarship at Oak Ridge High School in El Dorado Hills, California on Dec. 12, 2022. Buu plans to attend Stanford University and will be majoring in political science before commissioning as a Marine Corps Officer. Students selected for this prestigious scholarship program must uphold strict physical fitness standards and successfully complete additional military courses while maintaining normal college coursework responsibilities.
