U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Derrick V. Lewis II, the executive officer of Recruiting Station Sacramento, and Staff Sgt. Joleo Parhm, a recruiter with Recruiting Sub-Station South Sacramento, Recruiting Station Sacramento, present Brendan Miller the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) scholarship at Inderkum High School in Sacramento, California on Dec. 16, 2022. Miller plans to attend University of Southern California and will be majoring in biology before commissioning as a Marine Corps Officer. Students selected for this prestigious scholarship program must uphold strict physical fitness standards and successfully complete additional military courses while maintaining normal college coursework responsibilities.
