Marines and Sailors with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Forward Command Element (FCE) prepare to load an MV-22 Osprey at Marine Corps Auxiliary Landing Field Bogue, North Carolina, Dec. 13, 2022. The 26th MEU FCE traveled to a destination in Savannah, Georgia, as part of Marine Expeditionary Unit Exercise (MEUEX) I to simulate the establishment of a forward command. The focus of MEU Exercise I was to plan, brief, and execute several missions using the rapid response planning process in preparation for deployment alongside the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group.
