U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Kenneth D. Barnes, a radio operator with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, sets up a radio antenna at a location in Savannah, Georgia, Dec. 13, 2022. Barnes traveled as part of the 26th MEU Forward Command Element as part of Marine Expeditionary Unit Exercise (MEUEX) I to simulate the establishment of a forward command. The focus of MEU Exercise I was to plan, brief, and execute several missions using the rapid response planning process in preparation for deployment alongside the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group.
