Petty Officer 3rd Class Conor Madigan, an aviation maintenance technician stationed at Air Station Kodiak, is dressed as Santa Claus during a visit to Akhiok, Alaska, on Dec. 7, 2022, as part of the Santa to the Villages program coordinated by the Spouse's Association of Kodiak. For 46 years and at the height of this annual event, gifts were delivered to nearly 400 students across the island but, due to dwindling village populations, 145 children received gifts this year.
