An Akhiok, Alaska, resident opens his Christmas gifts from Santa during the annual Santa to the Villages program, Dec. 7, 2022, which is coordinated by the village school staff members, Air Station Kodiak crewmembers, and members of the Spouse's Association of Kodiak. The spouses’ association names a new project coordinator each year and funding for the gifts mainly comes from the Stiles-Clark auction which is held every fall in Kodiak.
