PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 26, 2022) - A U.S. Navy Sailor directs a Marine Corps pilot to take off during flight deck operations, Nov. 26. U.S. Marine Corps pilots continually fly to stay current in their qualifications contributing to the readiness of the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit. The 13th MEU is embarked with the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, comprised of amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) and amphibious transport docs USS Anchorage (LPD 23) and USS John P.
