The 113th Engineer Battalion out of Gary, sent their first shift of drivers on the road in response to Operation Snow Drift to recover stranded personnel from vehicles on the side of the road, Thursday Dec. 22, 2022. During the first hour of driving, our Guardsmen were able to help a semi truck driver who had veered off the road get to safety and warmth at a local hotel.
