U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Joshua J. Schroeder, an aviation communications technician with Marine Air Control Squadron 24, Marine Air Control Group 48, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Forces Reserve, writes received messages during a communications training event on Camp Elmore, Virginia, Feb. 3, 2023. The Marines with MACs-24 conducted the training event to validate training readiness and refine the subordinate elements’ communication control. Under implemented concepts of Force Design 2030, honing subordinating elements such as MACs-24 are pertinent in order to create a skilled and lethal expeditionary fighting force that is capable of augmenting the active component with support personnel.
