U.S. Marines with Battalion Landing Team 1/6, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), carry a simulated casualty to safety after executing a daytime raid at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Feb. 4, 2023. The raid was the culminating event for MEUEX II, following Amphibious Squadron/Marine Expeditionary Unit Integration Training (PMINT). The amphibious raid integrated multiple elements of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force with live-fire events and showcased the MEU’s ability to conduct ship-to-shore maneuver and secure a beach landing site.
