This Fort Riley Friday we visit the US Cavalry Museum. Originally built in 1855 as the first permanent hospital on post, building 205 was extensively modified and a clock tower added in 1890 and the building became headquarters to the Cavalry and Light Artillery School and post headquarters. In 1957, the building was again renovated and became the home for the Cavalry Museum where exhibits depict the colorful history of the American mounted horse soldier.
