Senior Enlisted Advisor Tony L. Whitehead, the senior enlisted advisor to the Chief of the National Guard Bureau, visits Alaska Guardsmen based out of Joint Base Elmendorf - Richardson, Alaska, Feb. 1-2, 2023, as part of a field circulation. During the tour, SEA Whitehead held senior leader and non-commissioned officer meetings to address NGB priorities for the new year and hear from the soldiers and airmen on challenges specific to their state or unit. SEA Whitehead serves as the Chief's principal military advisor on all enlisted matters affecting training, utilization, the health of the force, and enlisted professional development. As the highest enlisted level of National Guard leadership, he provides direction for the enlisted force and represents their interests.
