Culinary Specialist 3rd Class Chris Lambert prepares garnish for the celebration of the Navy's 237th birthday aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74). The John C. Stennis strike group, consisting of USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74), Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 9, Destroyer Squadron 21 and USS Mobile Bay (CG 53) is forward deployed to U.S. 7th Fleet to strengthen regional partnerships, sustain maritime security, and support combatant commander requirements for assets in the area.
