Kristi Palmer, South Dakota Counterdrug Civil Operations noncommissioned officer-in-charge and Army Lt. Col. Michael E. Patterson display the Department of Defense Community Awareness Award following the Department of Defense Red Ribbon Week Awards Ceremony, Oct. 18, at the Hall of Heroes in the Pentagon. The award recognizes the best Drug Demand Reduction program in each military service for its effort in promoting its support of outreach and prevention programs within its communities.
