U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Aaron Meeke, a scout sniper with Battalion Landing Team 1/4, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, guides Marines on how to set up an aerial platform during an aerial sniper training aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD-20), in the Philippine Sea, Mar. 2, 2023. Marines participated in the aerial sniper training to increase their proficiency in engaging and identifying targets from an aerial platform. Iron Fist is an annual bi-lateral exercise designed to increase interoperability and strengthen the relationships between the U.S. Marine Corps, the U.S. Navy, the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force.
