VICENZA, Italy – Members of Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) Vicenza visit the historical “Poli Grappa Distillery and Museum” founded in 1898 in Schiavon, about 20 kilometers Northeast of Vicenza Feb. 25, 2023. During their guided tour, they discovered the history of the family and how the distillery came to be throughout four generations. The visit included several areas where distillation takes place with old alembics, ancient cellars containing wooden barrels where grappa is put to age. Participants concluded their visit with the tasting of the Poli distillates.
